Presents. what do you think?

I'm actually Jewish lol. In my family the adults exchange gifts and give them to the kids. The kids usually make something. I make latkes and matzo ball soup and clean the house, so my gift to the family is helping and I will usually make something as I am artistic. My brother is a lazy fat kid so he does nothing. So here's what I'm thinking of telling my parents when they ask me what I want:

ice skates

liz claiborne luggage marina 3-piece set(we're going to england, france, and switzerland this summer, and over winter break to chicago and maybe New York)

some books =]

what do you think?? I'm getting myself nars lipgloss, and stella peony in two perfume. I know that sounds weird but I never spend my money so might as well. I'll probably get my closest friends some chocolate from the chocolatier.

Presents. what do you think?
Sounds good to me, the things that you want are practical and you are going to need them anyway since you are plannig a great holiday!

My sugestion is that instead of chocolate maybe give your closest friends a small painted canvas (you said you were artistic - painting?) or something like that so that have something tangable to keep - chocolate would be gone in an hour if you gave it to me. canvas' are really cheap too.

Now I too think that giving presents is great but I would be so guttered if I didnt get any presents for christmas! I love Christmas and I am nearly 26!!! Bring on santa!!
Reply:What about your family members, I notice you are buying for yourself, don't you buy for them too? It is better to give than to receive. This will probably be the fourth of fifth Christmas that I don't get a gift, but my gift is watching the looks on others faces as they open their gift from me.
Reply:I agree with diane
